4th Canadian Division’s International Women’s Day Celebration

March 8, 2017 – Toronto – National Defence / Canadian Armed Forces

The theme for this year’s celebration is “Change Begins with You. Change Begins with All of Us.”

This year’s event will consist of several stands displayed in the officer’s mess, showcasing various aspects of military engagement such as fitness, service support, and operations.

It will be followed by a panel discussion led by Major Jon O’Connor, public affairs officer from the Canadian Forces College as the moderator with Colonel Nishka Jardine, Deputy Commander of the Canadian Forces College, Alannah Gilmore former medic, mother as well as spouse to former sniper and Amazing Race participant Jody Mitic, Colonel Dwayne Hobbs former Commanding officer of the Toronto Scottish Regiment, currently the Assistant Chief of Staff 4th Canadian Division, and Jennifer Strachan, Assistant Commissionaire and Commanding Officer of the RCMP “O” Division.

The discussion will recognize and explore women’s achievements, while serving as an opportunity for Canadian Armed Forces members to engage with the community and have an impact on the young professionals from across business and service in the Greater Toronto Area.
